  • Kevin Webery – Project Manager

    15 Years with West

Kevin started at West 15 years ago as a quality control technician, knowing very little about asphalt. Through the mentorship of experienced team members, he progressed from quality control technician to quality control manager, and now serves as a project manager. His typical day involves reviewing bid jobs, conducting field assessments, and collaborating with superintendents and other project managers to put together competitive bids. Kevin embodies the “Best of the West” values by giving his best effort every day to help the company succeed.

    Quote marks

“I think it’s fun to come in and learn how to bid jobs, kind of behind the scenes, and put work together. Something I’m excited for the future at West is just to see where I will be in the next couple years and see the company continue to grow.”

  • Kimberly Thornton – HR/Training Coordinator

    2 Years with West

Growing up around the construction industry, Kimmy brought a deep appreciation for field workers to her role at West. In her nearly two years with the company, she has successfully onboarded 47 people in 2024 alone. Her diverse daily responsibilities include hiring, training coordination, benefits assistance, and advocating for the construction industry at career fairs. West invested in her professional development by sending her to Dale Carnegie training, demonstrating the company’s commitment to employee growth. She describes her job as “beautiful chaos” – fulfilling and diverse.

    Quote marks

“West is definitely a work hard, play harder kind of family atmosphere, and I just love that, because at the end of the day, we’re all humans, and we get to act like humans, and we get to put all our all into just excelling at our roles.”
